TUSD NAMES FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR

Tracy Unified School District is pleased to welcome back Brandy Campbell to the position of Director of Food Services.  She will begin this position on July 1st.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS REVIEW

Parents and community members are invited to examine instructional materials to be implemented in 2020-2021 in Tracy Unified School District.

·        Expository Reading and Writing Course (CSU-designed) for Grade 12

·        Introduction to Psychology (high school elective course)

·        Emergency Response: Introduction to Fire Service (high school elective course; new course offering at Tracy High School)

The materials are on display from February 25, 2020 through March 24, 2020 in the Instructional Media Center, Building A of the District Services Center, 1975 W. Lowell Ave., from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Public input is a vital part of Tracy Unified School District’s instructional materials adoption process. Your comments will be considered by the TUSD Board of Trustees when making a decision about adopting these materials.

RAPTOR VISITOR SYSTEM

Tracy Unified is pleased to announce that we will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all of our schools to strengthen our campus safety for students and faculty.

All visitors will be asked to present an ID such as a driver's license and it will be scanned into the Raptor system.

As a reminder, if your child is sick, please keep them home from school. To help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including the coronavirus and flu, follow these important tips:

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

Avoid close contact with people who are sick

Stay home when you are sick

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

Individuals with chronic health issues and/or individuals experiencing severe symptoms should be evaluated by a medical professional

Get vaccinated every year
